Own Your Own Eco-friendly Business and Get the A+ You Deserve

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

August is a very busy month!  Summer vacation is coming to an end, everyone is trying to fit in vacation time with loved ones, and trying to accomplish those last minute outdoor activities before summer comes to an end.  However, with summer vacation officially almost over, that means only one thing…back to school!  As most kids are dreading the end of their 3 month vacation, parents are jumping up and down for joy.  However, there is still a lot to do before the first day of school, such as, supplies and clothes shopping and much needed haircuts.  But as we are all busy gathering everything on our lists for our children to have another successful school year, we often over look a major detail…is your child’s school environmentally friendly?school2 300x185 Own Your Own Eco friendly Business and Get the A+ You Deserve green business opportunity green business going green green business

This may seem like an absurd question to ask but recycling can play an important role in how your child performs in the classroom.  “According to the U.S. Green Building Council, green schools, on average, use 33 percent less energy and 32 percent less water.” For example, Great Seneca Creek Elementary in Germantown, MD “skims about $60,000 off its annual energy bill and conserves about 43 percent—or 360,000 gallons—of water each year.”  Today, some 50 schools across the United States are turning green and have seen improvements environmentally, academically, financially, and health wise which have been impossible to ignore.

As you can see, conserving energy and water throughout the year can save the school thousands of dollars, and you know what that means – more money for vital supplies. When schools save money on things like water and energy, teacher jobs are safer, books are kept current, facilities are kept in shape, and everyone benefits. However, water and energy are not the only ways that schools can cut back.  What do teachers and students use every day? Pencils, books, food items, paper, paper, paper, and more paper! All day, schools are rapidly using and throwing away things that can be recycled instead! By recycling the material items that both teachers and students use throughout the year, schools will be able to cut back on waste disposal costs and provide even more of a financial boost that they so desperately need.

Check back next week to see how starting your own entirely green business opportunity could help your local schools save more and be environmentally friendly at the same time!

Recycling Made Easy, and A Work at Home Business Opportunity Made Easier!

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

I recently offered to pick my nephews up from summer camp so my sister could run a few errands.  While I was getting their things together, I realized that a lot of recyclable items were being thrown away.  For instance, the camp offers the children slushies in a plastic cup, cold beverages in aluminum cans, mozzarella sticks in a plastic container, noodles in a Styrofoam cup, and plastic spoons and forks throughout the day.  All of these items are recyclable but are simply being thrown away into the trash bins.  With over a hundred campers enjoying their snacks, a lot of recyclable items go to waste every day.

You would be astonished by the trash that goes to waste every day! You could be turning it into cash instead.

Not only is the camp missing out on an opportunity to teach the children about recycling and doing their part in becoming environmentally friendly, but they might as well as be throwing dollar bills into the trash along with the recyclables.  Every time a child throws away a slushy cup or plastic container, the camp is losing money…you do that math, that is a lot of money wasted throughout the summer!

Here is where you come to the rescue! By starting your own entirely green home business, not only will you have the ability to work from the comfort of your own home, but you will have the skills and knowledge to assist businesses, like this particular summer camp, to stop over spending on waste disposal and take advantage of zero waste initiatives easy enough that even kids can pitch in!

So the next time you are picking up your own child from summer camp or helping out a friend, look around, are they offering recycling?  If not you could be the solution to the problem! A work at home business opportunity can be more than just a possibility — it can be a reality.

The Newest Trends in Retail-And You Could be a Part of it by Owning Your Own Business!

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

I recently went to a store to purchase my nephew some back to school clothing.  After we spent some time trying things on and deciding what he liked and didn’t, we went over to the cashier to purchase the items.  It was there that I was amazed at the store’s zero waste initiatives.  The cashier asked me if I would like to have my receipt emailed to me rather than have it printed out and placed into my wallet where it would never been seen again.

In fact, according to Indystar.com, emailing customers their receipt has become the newest trend in retail; “An increasing number of retailers are offering to send receipts by email, touting it as a convenient, environmentally friendly alternative to paper receipts. Gone, they say, are the days of digging through your purse or wallet looking for that crumpled slip of paper.” Moreover, “emailed receipts will contain offers for consumers to receive coupons and other deals from retailers in the near future.”  It is a win-win situation. Not only are customers being rewarded for being eco-friendly but the retailer also saves money on non-wasted paper.

However, not all stores or business have caught onto the trend of implementing zero waste initiatives.  Here is where you come into the picture, by starting your own entirely green home business, you will have the ability to guide other businesses in reducing their waste disposal expenses, while becoming eco-friendly at the same time!

So the next time you are at a store and are offered to have your receipt emailed to you, not only say “yes” but also think of how you could be the owner of your own work at home business while helping other businesses become more eco-friendly by helping to move along the trend.

Cleaning up the Cities We Love by Starting Your Own at Home Business

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

I was recently in Burlington, VT visiting some friends for the weekend.  It was great to catch up with people that I haven’t seen in months and to walk around one of my favorite cities in New England.  What I love most about Burlington is Church Street.  For those of you who are not familiar with the area, Church Street is an area that is closed off to all vehicles and filled with various types of shops, restaurants and of course the city’s number one fixture — Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream shops.

One of the first things that I noticed while we were walking around Church Street was how recycling was easily made available to the people.  Next to every trashcan was a recycling bin and once you walked into most cafes and smaller restaurants, recycling bins were easily accessible.  I was impressed with how eco-friendly Vermont is.  Which got me thinking, what if other major cities and towns approached recycling as Vermont does.

Now, I understand that Vermont is known for being a very green state, however, other cities might want to take notes on how they too could become as eco-friendly.  Better yet, you could be the solution to the problem other states and businesses have with waste disposal.

In fact, most companies are looking for ways to implement zero waste initiatives, but due to lack of knowledge and resources they are unable to do so.  But by starting you own entirely green business, not only will you be your own boss, but you will have the tools and knowledge to assist local businesses reduce costs on waste disposal, while putting more money in your pocket.

So the next time you visit your favorite city or town, look around.  Do they have proper an eco-friendly waste disposal system?  If not, you could be the change they are looking for with a new business opportunity.

Seizing the Opportunity in a Green Business Opportunity (Part 1: The Hike)

Monday, August 8th, 2011

My closest friend just got back from a camping trip in Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine.  While he was there, he and his friends took advantage of all the various outdoor activities available to them, including a sunset whale watch. But while on one of their more difficult hikes, where the cliffs were completely exposed and climbers were forced to climb up using iron rungs to get over the more difficult areas, he noticed one hiker battling with her fear of heights.

She had just reached a particularly hard spot, especially for those fearful of heights.  After a minute of hands sweating and knees shaking, the hiker decided to turn around and go back down the mountain.  As my friend continued to tell me this story, he commented on how it was a shame that she quickly decided to give up rather than take a deep breath and conquer her fears.

However, once he reached the top of the mountain, and had a minute to enjoy the incredible ocean view, he watched in awe as the same girl that had just given up, climbed up and over the last rock to reach the summit.  She mentioned that with the help of her fellow hiker she was able to overcome her fear- besides she would have regretted missing the opportunity to see the breathtaking view everyone was talking about.

While you might not be interested in hiking up a mountain, no matter who you are, where you are, or what you do – the message of this story most definitely applies to your life and your experience. Why? Because success is

all about taking advantage of an opportunity. However, every day you’re presented with a business opportunity that will let you be your own boss, make more money, and have more freedom.

The funny part is that the opportunity all relies on trash – your ticket to a completely green business opportunity that would let you work at home.  You might be thinking, “how does this all tie together? Where do trash, hiking, and business opportunities ever have common ground?”  But don’t worry, it will all be clear, check back soon to get the full picture and to learn how trash can truly make a difference in your life.

Battles of the Waste War: Fight it Your way and Be Your Own Boss

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

I was recently reading an article on how the army was using a more eco-friendly approach to make them stronger. That’s right, eco-friendly ammo actually makes the military more effective.

For instance, according to IST Energy, the Army has now turned to eco-friendly bullets.  Yes, there is such a thing! Defense contractors responsible for supplying our military are now manufacturing “green” ammunition that has a steel core instead of using toxic lead.

In fact, this isn’t even that new of a development. Lead hasn’t been used for quite some time in the production of bullets. As a side effect, the ammo used by the military is far healthier for the soil and the surrounding ecosystem (wherever that may be). So, when the smoke clears – we can be sure that the environment isn’t the one that takes the brunt of the punishment – even if the enemy combatants don’t fare as well.   Obviously, while the military can’t afford to worry about Mother Nature at its own expense, according to our source, the eco-ammo also happens to “double the effectiveness of our troops when it comes to penetrating armored targets.” It is a win-win situation, the Army is able to effectively fight in combat AND make less of an impact at the same time (we probably can’t say the same for much else, though).

This just goes to show that more and more businesses are turning to zero waste initiatives to help them win their personal battles in the “waste wars”.  However, in most cases, businesses are lacking the time, resources, and knowledge to implement them.  By starting your own entirely green business, you will have the opportunity to help these businesses reduce waste disposal costs and create a successful recycling plan at the same time.  In addition, you will have the ability to work from your own home, be your own boss, and make a difference in the environment.

So the next time you are sitting at your desk, thinking to yourself that you may need a career change, think of how you could have your own business, be your own boss, and be helping our environment grow stronger at the same time.

Having Fun in the Sun While Making Money with a Green Work at Home Business

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to visit the beach during the local Sandcastle Festival.  It is a week long exhibition of sandcastles representing anything from extravagant castles to sea animals.  People travel each year from all over the state to admire the intricate sand art and to enjoy the delicious food and beverages the area has to offer.

Throughout the day, I watched as people enjoyed their day surrounded with amazing sculptures, good food, and great company.  While, I too was enjoying my own fried dough and freshly squeezed lemonade, I was forced to throw my paper plate and plastic cup away in the trash bin, along with many other recyclable items.  There were over a thousand people in attendance to this festival, which means that every time they ordered something to eat or drink, their recyclable items were getting thrown into the trash.  The town may as well have been throwing piles of money away, considering all the needless disposal they were now responsible for and the sheer amount of recyclable that would inevitably be carted off to the dump.

If only someone told them that they could have saved money by making recycling available, they would have been able to reduce the amount of money spent on waste disposal.  In fact, you could have been the person to inform businesses, large and small, of this by starting your own work at home business.
By starting you own entirely green business you would have the opportunity to make a six figure income working with trash! Businesses are always looking for ways to reduce waste disposal costs, and you could be the solution to their problem! In fact, Environmental Waste Solutions has seen a 25% growth in the recent recession and continues to grow today – a good sign for independent affiliates across the country.

So the next time you are at a local festival, enjoying everything it has to offer, think of how you could be saving them money by starting your own at home business.  By helping other businesses cut back on waste disposal, not only would you be helping them save thousands, but you too will be making a living as your own boss, in a green business opportunity that makes a real difference.

Being Sheltered by Recyclable Items: See the Value in Trash

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

I was recently having an in-depth conversation with someone who owns their own construction company.  Within the construction industry, there are many opportunities to reduce, reuse, and recycle.  When you take a closer look into your own home, all of the metals, wood, cardboard, plastics, and other materials can be recycled or reused in another project depending on the state it is in.

As my friend and I continued to talk, I asked him whether or not he participated in recycling at job sites.  He explained to me that it takes a lot for a business to go green.  In fact most companies do not have the time, knowledge, or resources to become environmentally friendly.  Therefore, all of the recyclable building materials that we use will continue to be thrown out and take up unnecessary space in the landfills.  Soon, our communities are going to have to create more space for us to dump our waste.

By starting your own business with an entirely green business opportunity you will have the tools, knowledge, and resources to help business owners (like builders and contractors) reduce waste disposal costs and establish a recycling plan.  With your help, you will have the ability to help other companies go green and decrease the amount of recyclable items that appear in our landfills.

So the next time you are roaming around your house discovering all of the recyclable items it is made out of, think about starting your own environmentally friendly business. If you do, not only will you be your own boss but you will have the option to work from the comfort of your home.

There are Opportunities All Around – Especially to be Your Own Boss

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

As I was on my nightly walk around my neighborhood, I decided to walk a little farther to the city park.  It is a beautiful and peaceful place to walk around on a warm summer night.  There were flowers all around in full bloom, ducks swimming in the ponds while little children fed them old bread crumbs, and many other people enjoying the serenity of the summer night.  However, as I continued to walk around the park, I couldn’t help but notice that there were numerous garbage bins surrounding the area.  I am pleased to see that since the city has made these available, the park is able to stay free from most litter.  But what bothered me most was not the fact that even when waste baskets are made available, trash still found its way to the ground but that people were not given the opportunity to recycle- especially in a city that participates in the “Pay as You Throw” program.perspective on business opportunities work at home 197x300 There are Opportunities All Around Especially to be Your Own Boss green business earn a six figure income

For those of you that are unfamiliar with PAYT, it is a program where “residents are charged for the collection of municipal solid waste—ordinary household trash—based on the amount they throw away. This creates a direct economic incentive to recycle more and to generate less waste.”  When a city that implements programs (like PAYT) that are geared for residents to be more aware of recycling, shouldn’t there be more recycling opportunities in public places, such as the city park?

If you are reading this and thinking to yourself that you have seen/ not seen chances for people in your town to recycle, you could be the solution to this problem!  By starting your own green business, you will have the skills and knowledge to help your city and other local businesses- big or small- reduce waste disposal costs and recycle more often.  In fact, with environmental laws enforcing businesses to dispose of their waste properly, you could be there to guide them to dispose it properly AND cost effectively.

So the next time you decide to take an evening stroll on a warm summer night, take note on the amount of recycling opportunities there are.  If there are none, you could be the change they need and become your own boss with a work at home business at the same time!

Beating the Budget Cuts with a Green Business Opportunity

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

I was recently having dinner with some friends who were looking to move into the area.  One of them had already been accepted into law school and will need to make the move by the end of July.  However, my other friend was hesitant to change locations simply because they were unable to find a job.  Finding a job has been not only difficult, but also frustrating at times because many companies are not hiring at the moment, especially with all the budget cuts that businesses have had to implement. green business work at home 300x225 Beating the Budget Cuts with a Green Business Opportunity green business be your own boss green business opportunity

As I continued to talk to them more, I could tell that they were anxious on making the move and how they were going to make ends meet.  Finally I suggested “why not starts your own business?”  Not only would you have the opportunity to work full time or part time, but by establishing you own green home business, you will be capitalizing on the only thing that you can always count on being around (even after budget cuts)-TRASH!

When you look at the bigger picture, trash is always being produced, whether you are at home, at work, or out running errands.  In addition businesses large and small are always seeking for new ways to cut back on waste removal expenses.

However, the best part of owning your own green business that focuses solely on trash is that it is a recession proof business.  For instance, businesses are always looking for ways to save money on recycling and waste disposal.  Therefore, other businesses will be looking at you for help! – leaving you with a stable and recession proof income.

So the next time you or one of your friends are having a difficult time finding a source of income or just lost their job due to budget cuts, consider starting your own environmentally friendly business and put more back into your pocket while being your own boss! for more, check out http://www.environmental-waste.com
