On May 18, 1980 at 8:32 am the most catastrophic eruption shook the Pacific Northwest. The day that Mount Saint Helens erupted, 57 people lost their lives, 250 homes burned, 47 bridges were ruined, 15 miles of railway were destroyed, and 185 miles of highway were decimated. To this day, the eruption of Mount Saint Helens is known as the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event to happen in the history of the United States. However, no matter how horrible and devastating this event may have been, it serves as a perfect example, because the communities affected by such a disaster always bounce back and become stronger than before.
All the time, there are events in our day to day lives that can create catastrophe as well. But when it comes down to it, it’s the efforts we make that allow us to come away from catastrophe better than we were before.
For instance, how about your career choice? Do you feel like you have made the right decision? Or do you feel that you are in a work situation that will soon or later fall apart? What if I told you that could be your own business capitalizing on the only thing that is always around you – trash!
While your career choice right now might seem like an emergency, you can recover with your own independent and proactive push to make a difference. You would be making a profit while helping to make a dent in one thing that causes more people annoyance than joy. By creating your own entirely green business, you would have the opportunity to help other companies save money that they are throwing away by helping them go green and make a positive impact on the environment. In the end, you turn your own personal disaster into a positive.
Just as communities around the world prove, even the largest disaster can one day become a positive. So next time you think your vocation is a disaster, just think about how it’s always possible to bounce back. You might even be able to do it with a work at home business opportunity that’s green.
