A special season

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

First the snow melts, and before you can really begin to enjoy it you begin noticing the piles of leaves and the long dead grass that’s been kept hidden all winter by snow. Then, moving inside you begin to notice all the things that have been accumulating in your home all year. First there are old clothes, then you notice remnants of the holidays, and of course there’s the garage….and the list goes on. Sadly, all you can think to yourself is, “there’s definitely work to be done.”

At Home Business Opportunities
Well sometimes businesses need to do a little spring cleaning too. First of all, as we’ve all seen—things do tend to accumulate over time. Remain busy with something, with anything, whether it’s tending to a family or a manufacturing plant and you’ll know that you can avoid it. Something is bound to fall by the wayside, and when you’re constantly focused on a specific aspect of business—effective waste management is often the easiest thing to ignore and first thing to go out the window. That’s why EWS affiliates are trained and eager to be the “spring cleaning” that any business can take advantage of to clean up shop, save a little money, and go green all at once.
Think of it this way. EWS affiliates across the country have had no problem convincing their clients that there isn’t a better deal. It’s like offering to do someone else’s spring cleaning for them. You just get to keep half of the stuff they would have thrown away!

A little certainty is always a good thing

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

With the economy continuing to lag and an air of uncertainty hovering over many industries, everyone doesn’t quite know what to think. Where are we going? What are we going to do? What’s going to change? How will things be in a few years? Or how will things even be a couple of months from now? The fact is that we can’t always know, and the questions that arise are not always comfortable ones. Either way, as much as we would like to know everything, uncertainty is always something that we will have to deal with. But there is one thing we can be sure about, and that’s trash.

At Home Business Opportunities
EWS affiliates and their clients need not fear. First, both affiliates and clients can be sure that trash will always be an issue in business. Additionally, with the environment continuing to become a global concern, recycling will also continue to become more and more important. But what does that mean? It means that the motivation and incentive to recycle won’t go anywhere, and the businesses will always be able to save money by recycling instead of haphazardly hauling their waste away.
Regardless of how businesses might worry about the economy, EWS affiliates will always be able to deliver a little bit of certainty to their clients through better recycling, and clients will always be able to count on saving money. So even though there may be an overabundance of that little feeling we like to call uncertainty, remember – as strange as it may sound—that you can always depend on trash (and EWS of course!).

Conservation couldn’t be easier!

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Businesses across the country are coming to terms with the fact that resources, in every sense of the word, don’t grow on trees—except maybe paper. For instance, colleges and universities all over have learned that many times, people consume without even thinking about it. Consider the article you printed this morning, the emails you printed off and promised to read over lunch, or the bank statements that you end up reading online and never opening when the hardcopy arrives in the mail. Examples like these just show that we don’t even think twice about consuming when we might not even need to.

For instance, colleges and universities across the country have introduced print management systems to, hopefully, reign in on the amount of ink and paper that are used. On a number of levels, initiatives like this both save money and the environment. By conserving paper, fewer acres of our valuable forests need to be cut down and less energy must be used to process the raw materials to produce the actual paper. As for ink, conservation also reduces the emissions created and the energy spent in the production and actual use of the ink.

When it comes down to it, the facts are clear. Sure, managing elements of business such as paper and ink consumption are simple and easily implemented measures to help the environment. However, it’s also important to remember that conservation is as valuable as it is green. While the price of a ream of paper may seem cheap, it can surely add up. Every single sheet is money spent, and that means that every wasted sheet is money thrown away forever. While ink cartridges are more expensive, the same relationship exists. You can’t recycle used ink, and every drop wasted is cents thrown into the waste basket.

EWS affiliates operating all over the country are capable of helping businesses realize the potential in waste. While their focus may not be paper and ink, we’ve all experienced and taken part in the waste that takes place in the office. By locating the sources of waste and cutting inefficiency off at the source, EWS can help businesses keep more money while doing their part for the environment.

What can better waste management do for a business?

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

EWS Affiliates everywhere have experienced success by helping businesses save. However, many times it’s hard to know exactly how businesses stand to do that. By looking at what recycling can actually accomplish, it’s easy to see where businesses can pull ahead by paying just a little more attention to waste.

At Home Business Opportunities

For instance, think about companies that create a lot of paper waste. More often than not, they don’t realize exactly how far their used paper can go. They typically see it as useless junk that only succeeds in taking up space, so they lump it in with everything else. That’s their first mistake. Eventually, what they end up with is one large dumpster full to the brim with materials deemed useless.

In reality, businesses often fail to step back and consider how useful their waste can actually be. For example, when it comes to paper, businesses don’t realize that recycling a single ton saves up to 17 trees, 2 barrels of oil, 4,000 kilowatts of energy, and over 3 cubic yards of landfill space. That’s enough oil to run a car over 1,200 miles and power a home for months.

If a business doesn’t throw away much paper, it’s not hard to find another avenue to save. Consider their aluminum waste. According to the Environmental Defense Fund, our country typically throws away enough aluminum to completely rebuild the entire commercial fleet of airplanes every few months. It’s doubtful that we would actually need to completely rebuild all the commercial airplanes but the sheer amount of aluminum we could recycle puts the possibilities into perspective. In terms of energy, recycling an aluminum can saves enough energy to run a television for up to 3 hours. However, knowing the facts and putting them into action are two entirely different things. For businesses, the best part is that saving money and making an impact require no more effort than simply meeting with an EWS affiliate. It’s that easy.

While it may be easy to throw away what we so easily cast aside as waste, putting waste into perspective shows businesses how much money they stand to save, and EWS affiliates everywhere are finding that free money is far from hard to sell.

New Waste, New Year

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Every New Year we start by making promises. We make promises to ourselves, to our families, and to our loved ones. We promise ourselves that we’ll lose weight; we tell ourselves that we’ll break a bad habit; we decide we’ll do more charity work, and the list goes on and on. The fact of the matter is that we’ve made them, we’ve heard them, we’ve seen them broken, and we’ve more than likely broken a few of them as well. However, no matter how many fleeting promises are made on and before 12 midnight on January 1st one obvious fact remains, it really is a New Year.

At Home Business Opportunities

But what’s the big deal about New Years? Some may say it’s just another day, and maybe it is. Others say it’s the time for new beginnings. Whether you want to think of New Years as a fresh start or not, one thing remains the same, waste will always be around. New Years or not, there was never a better time to have a fresh start and a new outlook.

The focus is not on the past, but on the future and how to make it better. Businesses simply can’t look back on years of waste and stick to those familiar habits. It’s time to move forward, and EWS affiliates can help businesses do just that. Our affiliates help to serve as a reminder for businesses that the future can be better and change can most definitely be good. After all, why say no to making money and helping the environment? With EWS the future is not just brighter, it’s greener as well.

Savings for the Holidays

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

We wouldn’t be surprised if you’re feeling a dent in your pocket after the holidays. With gifts to buy, parties to host, and everything in between the economy couldn’t have picked a more inconvenient time to give us trouble. We’re all having a hard time, but just because the economy can be incredibly bothersome doesn’t mean for a second that we have to sit on the sidelines and let rough times keep us down.

At Home Business Opportunities

Environmental Waste Solutions has found a way for both potential affiliates and for client businesses to get off the sidelines and into the game. Finally everyone can take advantage of the opportunity to work their way around the obstacles that the financial crisis keeps putting in front of them. High prices, low budgets, and the stress that we all encounter can easily be taken in stride.

With our unique business model, EWS affiliates can make money and get back in action without having to worry about all the boundaries that confront us every day. But how is that? By relying on a recession proof business, EWS affiliates are capable of securing just a little more piece of mine, and it’s all made possible by one of the few things in life that will never change or go away, trash.

But EWS is not simply a one way street; the benefits go both ways, and that’s what has allowed us to be so successful over the year. While our affiliates enjoy success, piece of mind, and the actual time to live their lives, client businesses can remove the handicap that the economy places on them. By streamlining waste management, businesses can cut costs without cutting their productivity.

Across the board, EWS helps everyone involved reach their true potential.
