Recycling To Live Better and Earn More, and Be Your Own Boss

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Across the country communities appear to be recycling more and more. You’ve probably noticed it, driving around you more than likely see specially colored bags and blue containers – signs that residents are recycling.  Even if a community doesn’t recycle, you might see them trying to do their part to make more of an impact by making less of an impact.  But even if it seems that communities, neighborhoods, and individual households are recycling more –  the question remains…. are businesses recycling more?

Recycling is Everywhere

Many times it seems that businesses aren’t recycling as much as they can be – even though these businesses are the same places where so many individual recyclers work every day. However, it may be the case that these businesses aren’t not recycling because they don’t want to or don’t feel that they need to, but because they don’t know that they can.

All it takes is for a waste stream to change paths and become a recycling stream, and the impact can be astonishing. Just last week I wrote that  the wood and paper thrown away every year by Americans is enough to heat 50 million homes for 20 years. 20 years! All from recycling. That’s more than just saving money – which every business cares about – but it’s also energy saved and yet another step towards helping to save the environment.

So why not recycle like we do in our homes in our businesses? All it takes is educating businesses on the potential of recycling, and before you know it – it’s a green business opportunity in the making.

The Life of a Glass Bottle: A Green Business Opportunity in Motion

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

A little over a year ago, we wrote a post about the “Life of a Plastic Bottle”. In the same spirit, read on to learn about the two paths in life a glass bottle can take, with your help of course.

green business opportunity

Recycling glass bottles could be part of a lucrative new business opportunity

1. Glass is created from raw materials: an energy intensive process using sand, lime, and soda is undertaken to provide  glass in many shapes, forms, colors, and consistencies.

2. Glass is filled with product: whatever it may be, the glass is filled with what you need or manufactured to be whatever you need it to be. From a food or drink container to a light bulb and everything in between.

3. Glass fulfills its purpose: is the glass now useless? Soon you will decide.

4. A) Glass is thrown away  or B) Glass is recycled.

Herein lies the decision. Like a kids book where you choose the ending. Choose A) and the story ends, choose B) and it continues – on and on. Let’s assume you chose B

5. Recycled Glass is broken down and crushed: this process created what those in the industry call “cullet” – crushed glass that is ready to be re-melted.

6. Glass is re-melted: recycled glass is re-melted and ready to be used in whatever product it needs to be.

7. Glass is reused: recycled glass is incorporated into many of the same products it began its journey as.

8. And the story continues…

Simply knowing the possibilities recycling provides opens many doors to incredible savings for businesses that might not realize the potential in recycling. Across the country, independent waste consultants have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars consulting businesses so they can save more by recycling. These businessmen and women, taking advantage of a new green business opportunity make a difference while turning to an industry that – so long as there is waste – there will always be opportunity.

Do you see a day where there will no longer be waste?

5 Reasons Why Work At Home Business Opportunities are GREAT

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

You might be skeptical of work at home business opportunities. Too often, they promise the world and don’t pay off, but when your business is centered on a billion dollar industry that will never go away – you can be sure that the possibilities are always there.  A green home business opportunity focused on helping businesses recycle is attractive for many reasons. Here are some of the best one’s we’ve heard over the years.

1. Spend more time with your family

Many times, our affiliates tell us that a major reason they wanted to start a home business was to be able to spend more time with their family. Maybe they simply needed a change, or were transitioning from life without to life with children – either way, for the focused individual, working at home gives you the time you need to both have a family and  succeed.

2. Enjoy more financial freedom

Sometimes the potential you need to earn more is already at your fingertips. Maybe you don’t need anyone else to earn more. Many affiliates say that with the right motivation, all you need is you, to earn more with a work at home business opportunity.

3. Do what you want, when you want

For some, there’s something soul crushing about calling someone your “boss”.  If you’re so inclined – a green home business opportunity is your ticket to be your own boss, and take that dream vacation you’ve always wanted.

4. Say goodbye to office drama

Many affiliates report that the final straw that made the shift from traditional employment to embarking on a home business opportunity was the “curse of the curmudgeon”. The office grump. The drama queen, the feeding frenzy of office drama that makes an otherwise peaceful and productive day, a living nightmare. Working at home as an independent waste consultant is an ideal solution.

5. Reap the rewards of your hard work

Ever feel like you’re not getting a fair deal? With a work at home business opportunity, the harder you try – the more you earn. When you’re your own boss, you get what you put in – always.

Celebrate International Beer Day! A Reminder That You Can Earn More With a Green Business Opportunity

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Today is August 5th. Today is Thursday. Today is also international beer day. You can be excited about whichever of those you choose. But

we’re going to talk about international beer day. Not to necessarily promote or support it, but to consider it for its relevance in recycling.

You can earn more recycling aluminum, such as aluminum beer cans

Think of all the aluminum cans that we go through as a society. Especially on today, one day of one month where there might just be a large amount of aluminum cans going to waste (beer or otherwise).  The possibilities in recycling are nearly endless.

Materials such as aluminum are much more valuable than you may think. Recycling aluminum prevents wasted energy and lost money in a number of ways.  From the raw materials to make more cans, straight on down to the gas needed to haul trash that could have been recycled, to the dump.

We’ve said it before, but it’s all about perspective. Take a second to consider all the people throwing away aluminum c

ans today. Somewhere in the world, right now, there is a celebra

ion going on to commemorate “international beer day”. Do you think all of those bottles and cans are getting recycled? It’s likely they are not, and that’s where you can earn more with a green home business opportunity.

Take a look around and notice where there’s waste where there could be gain through recycling. Everywhere, there’s opportunity – you just have to see it. If you’re looking for a business opportunity that works for you and makes a difference, why not give recycling a try?

Spread the green, and spread the wealth.

The Options to Recycle are Always There: Make a Green Business Opportunity and Save the Environment

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Everywhere you look, you can see businesses making a difference recycling. You can call them green companies, you can call them environmentally conscious, but when it comes down to it – they’re also saving a boatload of money.

recycle better and earn more with a green business opportunity

you can earn more with a new green business opportunity

For example, the Seattle based coffee company, Starbucks, has dedicated themselves to finding new ways to use the paper cups they serve their customers – a number estimated to be in the range of 3 billion cups a year.  What’s more is that this initiative to recycle their cups is focused on more than just the franchises in towns where recycling is big, but everywhere.

For now, the initiative is limited to Chicago, but the plan is to send the used cups to a facility that will turn them into napkins to be reused in the company’s stores. It’s green and it’s good for the environment, but you can be sure it will also save the company a great deal of money.

This is a perfect example of the demand for recycled products. Many times, a business doesn’t realize they can save large amounts of money by recycling because they either haven’t created the demand for recycled products or they haven’t found it. Clearly, with all the businesses wanting to save money – recycling is a viable option, and all it takes is for someone to point out the opportunities.

That’s where independent waste affiliates come in. With the right training and motivation, aspiring businessmen and women can turn what would normally be called trash into a lucrative work at home business opportunity.  Don’t you want to be your own boss? The solution could be simpler than you think, and chances are – it could be in your trash can.

Waste is Everywhere, and So is Opportunity

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

If you’ve been reading for a while or have only had the chance to check out a few posts, you’ll know that when it all comes down to it – when every word on this blog is condensed into a single sentence – it all boils down to this: trash can be valuable.

We come into contact with products that can be recycled every day, and recycling makes a real impact on the world. But more can be done, and you can profit from recycling just by looking at trash a little bit differently.

Take a look around. What do you see that could be recycled, and what do you see that isn’t being recycled that probably won’t be?  Now that you’ve taken a second to think about all the little things we waste, think about it on a larger scale. Everyone wastes, especially businesses – and with a green work at home business you can help businesses save where they never knew they were wasting.

Think about it this way…. if you can tell a business “You’re throwing away money every day” Chances are, they’ll want to reclaim it.

Let’s be honest, when we throw away something useful, we rarely think about how we’re wasting. Even still, every reusable and recyclable piece of “trash” is money down the drain, where it could instead be money saved for a business, with a percentage of it in your pocket.

That’s how easy it is. With the eye to see waste in business and the training to know how to eliminate it, you can be your own boss and make money while simultaneously making a difference. Remember, waste is everywhere. So why not make your mark with a green business opportunity that actually works?

Oh, and don’t forget to try and reuse that plastic container or bottle you know you’ll probably use today!

The value people create with trash lets you be your own boss

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

Think about waste a little harder and you’ll realize that it truly is everywhere. Wherever there are people, there’s was

te. So if you’ve been following us for any stretch, you’ll know that – when it comes down to it – wherever there are people and the businesses to serve them, there’s a chance to really succeed with a work at home business opportunity.

Businesses save with recycling, and businesses love saving. Whether it’s a large arena like we mentioned in the last post about the  world cup or your neighborhood grocery store – by looking harder at business waste of any kind, you’re enabling yourself to work at home in a green business opportunity with no ceiling.

Every recyclable piece of “trash” that goes to the dump instead of being reused or recycled is potential value that’s thrown away. That value is something a waste consultant can hone in on and profit from, while helping the environment in the process.

Try looking at a crowd of people or take a walk downtown, whatever serves as inspiration. You will undoubtedly see that waste is prevalent. It’s everywhere, and that means that opportunities for a green business opportunity are also everywhere. By helping businesses reduce waste, you can earn a living with a work at home business opportunity that actually works.

Why wait? The waste a work at home business opportunity will help you profit from will just keep going to waste. Get started now, get the training you need, earn more, and make a difference.

Real business opportunities are all around you

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010
the possibilities for a green business opportunity are averywhere

Did you watch the world cup? Think about how much recycleable waste soccer fans threw away. One situation ripe for a green business opportunity

So the world cup is over, and while soccer might not be the number one sport in the US it sure is everywhere else. Watching those matches, it is amazing to see the devotion of some of the fans – not to mention the deafening vuvuzela’s (the horns blown throughout the match, providing a soundtrack of the 2010 world cup that can only be compared to a mutant swarm of killer bees). But at the end of the match, it’s clear that the crowd of fanatic soccer fans might not be as devoted to something else – recycling.

Just by watching the games on TV, it’s easy to see how widespread the need for recycling is. On such a large scale, we learn how few people truly adopt the habit of recycling and incorporate it into their everyday lives. For businessmen and women who work at home as waste consultants, this can be an important and valuable realization.

Where there are people that don’t recycle, there is a fantastic opening for a work at home business opportunity. Think about it, if there’s waste at the world cup; is it the same at sporting events in your home town? And what are sporting events? – They’re collections of people, and those non-recycling people go on to their everyday lives to continue not recycling in their homes, in their businesses, and everywhere else they go. All of those places are opportunities for waste consultants looking to profit from a work at home business.

So open your eyes – where do you see opportunity where before you only saw waste? Those opportunities are a chance for you to succeed in a work at home business.

The Situation in the Gulf: A Perfect Example for Recycling

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

You’ve undoubtedly heard about the situation happening in the Gulf of Mexico, and it’s an understatement to say that an oil spill is a hideous thing to watch unfold.  Even if the outpouring of support for the gulf coast has been heartwarming, it doesn’t change the fact that there’s a real chance that the gulf coast might never be the same again.  business opportunities

But if anything, we can learn something from the whole event. If you turn on the news, you’ll notice that everyone is trying to find a solution to somehow clean up the mess that’s been created. They’ve tried everything from lowering a metal box on top of the oil spill to siphoning the oil out, and practically everything in between. In any case, every effort focused on remedying the oil spill involves recycling what oil can be recovered. Of course it’s partly a matter of recovering lost profit and finding some sort of use for the oil, but either way – it’s a good example of making the most out of business waste.

Business waste can come in many shapes and sizes. Whether its solid waste in the form of the trash we see every day  like plastic and paper, or industrial waste like a full on oil spill—it’s everywhere.  And let’s not be mistaken – spilled oil is nothing other than business waste.  Situations such as the one happening now prove to the world that where there’s a will to be more efficient with business waste and provide a solution – there’s a way.

Fortunately, environmental emergencies like the one happening now are anything but frequent. But they illustrate that with creative thinking, businesses can save the environment and save money by recycling more effectively. EWS affiliates across the country have demonstrated this single fact by approaching businesses in virtually every industry and helping them save with recycling.  Best of all, they’ve helped businesses save at literally no cost and made a living in the process. So why wait for another environmental emergency to prove that recycling can have a real impact?

Have you thought about starting your own home business as a waste consultant?

Take a Look Around: There’s A Business Opportunity in Every Trashcan

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

I recently found myself on a trip that involved airports, train stations, coffee shops, and restaurants.  While traveling, I observed that recycling almost altogether stopped once I stepped outside the airport.  It was actually really difficult to find an opportunity to recycle. Surprising right?  Walking through the city, I decided to amuse myself and quickly glanced into one of the city trashcans—mind you, I was only glancing.  Within 3 seconds I s

aw 4 plastic bottles, a couple crumpled up newspapers, and handfuls of paper.  And that was just the top layer!

Now, I understand that if recycling is not made easy for individuals, they aren’t going to think twice about throwing away their daily newspaper or cup of coffee into the plain old trash.  This made me think, if the city trashcans aren’t supporting recycling, are the restaurants and other businesses in the surrounding area doing the same?  Still wondering about it, I decided to enter a local café for a sandwich and answer my own question.

While sitting down, enjoying the view and my lunch, I realized that I had about 7 things that were recyclable and nowhere to recycle them! Therefore, the paper my delicious sandwich was wrapped in, my paper napkin, plastic fork, plastic knife, plastic spoon (all which came wrapped in my napkin and were unnecessary for me to eat my sandwich) plastic bottle of water, and bag of chips were all sadly going into the trash with all the other recyclable items.  Now if I alone had 7 items that could have been recycled, how many more were there in the entire café?

So the next time you walk downtown and see trashcans loaded with debris or maybe when you’re sitting in a café enjoying a meal, think about recycling.  Could some of that trash eventually have been recycled into something more?  Could that business have saved money and contributed to a cleaner environment?  Those are all business opportunities that someone could capitalize on—and many businesses don’t even realize that they could be saving money on their waste disposal by recycling instead.

The opportunities are out there for independent waste consultants to help businesses clean up their waste streams and save….it’s only a matter of seeing them.
