Leaves, Trash, and Opportunity

green business opportunity

A business opportunity based on recycling is kind of like raking leaves

We’re not too sure about your families, but for many of us – the earliest beginnings of Fall bring to mind a number of traditions. From yearly family outings we squeeze into the last days of summer to the first family activities that are distinctly reserved for autumn, seasonal traditions are everywhere– but around here, the coming of fall brings to mind one distinct tradition, raking leaves.

Depending on your side of the country, not only will you begin to see leaves peppering the ground, but the thought will cross your mind that those leaves will, eventually, need to be disposed of, and that’s where the connection to waste is (you knew it was coming). Raking leaves is just like taking care of business waste. Without raking, your yard’s a mess. Without recycling, your business – and potentially your finances— can be a mess as well.

What are leaves? They look good, they smell good – but essentially, they’re trash. Left on your lawn, they’ll make it look bad and they’ll kill your grass.

What is trash? Trash doesn’t look good, trash doesn’t smell good, and if left on your lawn, everyone will avoid you.

Okay, so maybe in that sense, trash and leaves aren’t painfully similar, but when you think of how you can dispose of them, the similarities arise.

You can recycle leaves, and you can recycle trash. Doing both of these things has a positive effect on the environment and on your image. In that sense, recycling trash – just like recycling leaves – presents an opportunity for businesses to be better.  Just like recycling leaves will save you money by saving your grass – recycling business waste helps a business save money by making waste streams greener and more efficient. But most business owners don’t see this, they’re too busy. You can help them, and make a green business opportunity out of streamlining business waste in a wide variety of industries.
Have you ever wanted to be your own boss and start a work at home business? Now’s your chance. The leaves are fragrant, the trash is pungent – and it’s time to cash in.

A Great Time For Recycling and Green Business Opportunities

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

If you read earlier in the week, I wrote about August,  the little known fact that August is otherwise known as “National Panini Month,” and the reality that green business opportunities can be seen everywhere when you take a second to look at all the food we eat, and all the waste created at restaurants.

Well, now it’s almost September and while it may not be as exciting as “National Panini Month” there are a lot of opportunities to look forward to – opportunities to be your own boss and work at home – all through the value of recycling.

Every time September Rolls around, it’s hard not to think about all the kids everywhere going to school. From kindergartners all the way up to college students – they’re all getting ready to head back. However, the one thing I can’t stop thinking about is how much trash they must create! Think about all that paper!

We wrote earlier in the month that recycling all the newspapers in the country could power 50 million homes for 20 years! Now imagine if the same was done for writing paper and computer paper thrown away every year in schools across the country.

Think about all of those schools, and then think about how many of them don’t recycle, or of the ones that do, how inefficient they are at it. Hauling all that paper to the dump is money spent, energy wasted, and money thrown away that could be saved instead.

Just like businesses, schools have budgets too – and they’re always looking to cut costs. If you can help a school save money – you could be saving someone’s job, or making sure certain programs have the funding they need to buy supplies. That’s how big of a difference recycling can make. It’s undeniable that waste has value,  and all you have to do to  earn more money with a green business opportunity is spread the knowledge.

Knowing is Half the Battle: Recycle More and Earn More with a Green Business Opportunity

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

You wouldn’t believe how much you can do with recycling or the extent to which it can make a difference. Sure – you know that it makes a difference to some extent. But do you know how far it can really go? Knowing just a little more about recycling goes a long way. As I always say, simply changing your perspective can help you unlock the hidden potential in recycling. So, why not learn some more?

Earn money and go green with a green business opportunity

Did you know….

  • When you recycle an aluminum can, it can be back on the grocery store shelf in under 60 days.
  • If every newspaper was recycled, it would be possible to save about 250,000,000 trees every year, requiring less fuel consumption, less energy used in the creation of new paper, and savings overall
  • The wood and paper thrown away every year by Americans is enough to heat 50 million homes for 20 years.
  • Recycling plastic saves twice as much energy as disposing of it through incineration.
  • Recycling glass can not only cut down on the consumption of raw materials, but it also cuts down on the amount of energy wasted transporting raw materials.
  • Recycling  aluminum cans directly results in the conservation of gasoline.

…and that’s just to name a few!

As you can see, recycling can have a serious impact. Not only by directly preventing waste, but by preventing the chain reaction of waste that occurs when we fail to recycle – from wasted energy and gasoline to the energy used to mine, process, and utilize raw materials. With recycling, businesses can save money  – and with that knowledge, you can help them do it with a green business opportunity — working as your own boss.  In the end, everyone is better off, the environment, businesses, and you.

The Life of a Glass Bottle: A Green Business Opportunity in Motion

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

A little over a year ago, we wrote a post about the “Life of a Plastic Bottle”. In the same spirit, read on to learn about the two paths in life a glass bottle can take, with your help of course.

Recycling glass bottles could be part of a lucrative new business opportunity

1. Glass is created from raw materials: an energy intensive process using sand, lime, and soda is undertaken to provide  glass in many shapes, forms, colors, and consistencies.

2. Glass is filled with product: whatever it may be, the glass is filled with what you need or manufactured to be whatever you need it to be. From a food or drink container to a light bulb and everything in between.

3. Glass fulfills its purpose: is the glass now useless? Soon you will decide.

4. A) Glass is thrown away  or B) Glass is recycled.

Herein lies the decision. Like a kids book where you choose the ending. Choose A) and the story ends, choose B) and it continues – on and on. Let’s assume you chose B

5. Recycled Glass is broken down and crushed: this process created what those in the industry call “cullet” – crushed glass that is ready to be re-melted.

6. Glass is re-melted: recycled glass is re-melted and ready to be used in whatever product it needs to be.

7. Glass is reused: recycled glass is incorporated into many of the same products it began its journey as.

8. And the story continues…

Simply knowing the possibilities recycling provides opens many doors to incredible savings for businesses that might not realize the potential in recycling. Across the country, independent waste consultants have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars consulting businesses so they can save more by recycling. These businessmen and women, taking advantage of a new green business opportunity make a difference while turning to an industry that – so long as there is waste – there will always be opportunity.

Do you see a day where there will no longer be waste?

Celebrate International Beer Day! A Reminder That You Can Earn More With a Green Business Opportunity

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Today is August 5th. Today is Thursday. Today is also international beer day. You can be excited about whichever of those you choose. But

we’re going to talk about international beer day. Not to necessarily promote or support it, but to consider it for its relevance in recycling.

You can earn more recycling aluminum, such as aluminum beer cans

Think of all the aluminum cans that we go through as a society. Especially on today, one day of one month where there might just be a large amount of aluminum cans going to waste (beer or otherwise).  The possibilities in recycling are nearly endless.

Materials such as aluminum are much more valuable than you may think. Recycling aluminum prevents wasted energy and lost money in a number of ways.  From the raw materials to make more cans, straight on down to the gas needed to haul trash that could have been recycled, to the dump.

We’ve said it before, but it’s all about perspective. Take a second to consider all the people throwing away aluminum c

ans today. Somewhere in the world, right now, there is a celebra

ion going on to commemorate “international beer day”. Do you think all of those bottles and cans are getting recycled? It’s likely they are not, and that’s where you can earn more with a green home business opportunity.

Take a look around and notice where there’s waste where there could be gain through recycling. Everywhere, there’s opportunity – you just have to see it. If you’re looking for a business opportunity that works for you and makes a difference, why not give recycling a try?

Spread the green, and spread the wealth.

August is for Beginnings: Start Anew with a New Business Opportunity

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Welcome to August! The “Harvest” month, the “Month of the Sickle”, the month when we start to think about the end of summer, and the month we start to see children and loved ones off to school.  August is full of many beginnings and endings – for everyone, why can’t it be an opportunity to reflect on yourself?

There were most likely the days that you looked forward to your very own new beginnings. The start of a new school year, a new career, a nice promotion, and maybe more. Do you ever feel that your milestones are now fewer and far between?  Perhaps it’s time to start making your own beginnings.

One way to create a new beginning for yourself is to start a home business. Being a business owner doesn’t have to be as toilsome and time consuming as you may think. You can live your life and work at home while making money you didn’t know you could. This is where an opportunity like ours comes in. For the EWS affiliates reading, you know what we’re talking about. But if you haven’t taken the leap and started your own home business – counting on trash can be one of the most profitable choices you can make.

You read it right: Trash

Every day, people throw away more and more that can be recycled, and with the speed that recycling is becoming more advanced – the magnitude of what can be recycled and reused is growing every day. That means that more of the trash that gets thrown away is actually trash that can be saved.

There’s no point in going on and on about it, because it’s really this simple: Businesses save more money recycling. By helping business recycle, you can earn more. Why not give it a shot? Make a new beginning for yourself.

The Options to Recycle are Always There: Make a Green Business Opportunity and Save the Environment

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Everywhere you look, you can see businesses making a difference recycling. You can call them green companies, you can call them environmentally conscious, but when it comes down to it – they’re also saving a boatload of money.

recycle better and earn more with a green business opportunity

you can earn more with a new green business opportunity

For example, the Seattle based coffee company, Starbucks, has dedicated themselves to finding new ways to use the paper cups they serve their customers – a number estimated to be in the range of 3 billion cups a year.  What’s more is that this initiative to recycle their cups is focused on more than just the franchises in towns where recycling is big, but everywhere.

For now, the initiative is limited to Chicago, but the plan is to send the used cups to a facility that will turn them into napkins to be reused in the company’s stores. It’s green and it’s good for the environment, but you can be sure it will also save the company a great deal of money.

This is a perfect example of the demand for recycled products. Many times, a business doesn’t realize they can save large amounts of money by recycling because they either haven’t created the demand for recycled products or they haven’t found it. Clearly, with all the businesses wanting to save money – recycling is a viable option, and all it takes is for someone to point out the opportunities.

That’s where independent waste affiliates come in. With the right training and motivation, aspiring businessmen and women can turn what would normally be called trash into a lucrative work at home business opportunity.  Don’t you want to be your own boss? The solution could be simpler than you think, and chances are – it could be in your trash can.

A Green Business Opportunity, a Messy Black Example

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Last month, we wrote about the situation in the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like things have gotten that much better. From the very beginning, there was concern that the oil would become a major environmental catastrophe, and it has. As horrible as it is, the whole thing brings to mind one of the most important factors in saving money for businesses – streamlining business waste.

green business opportunity

The oil spill in the gulf of mexico is a great example of how business waste consultants can streamline waste to save money

When businesses streamline waste, they have to spend less in the long haul. It’s a lesson we can apply to much more than business waste. That is, by doing things right, remaining diligent, and being proactive early on, you can avoid the high costs of cleaning up a costly mistake. Well, an oil spill of any kind is a great example of a costly mistake.

Let think about it in a different and simpler context. The grocery store down the street throws away all the cardboard they accumulate at the end of every month. Unfortunately, for the business owner that isn’t in the know, that’s the end of the story!  However, the story continues if you can see waste from a more enlightened perspective.

For the independent waste consultant, that cardboard a business would normally throw away can be the valuable focus of a green new business opportunity, helping each business save money by recycling the waste they didn’t know they could. Eventually, that grocery store would have thrown away hundreds if not thousands of dollars in savings, expensively and unnecessarily hauling a great deal of value to the dump. But thankfully that can all be avoided.

With the right training, waste consultants can help businesses of all kinds make the right decisions about their “trash” early on. This way, they avoid wasting what they never knew was a valuable source of savings and avoid a major headache in the future.

At the same time, while working at home in a new business opportunity that allows you to be your own boss – the independent waste affiliate makes a percentage of each business’s savings and a positive impact on the environment at the same time.

Earn More with Recycling

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Picture an aluminum soda can. There’s the label, the cap, the liquid you see swishing around inside of it – but did you happen to think about the CA-HI-ME-OR-CT cash deposit? It’s easy to miss, but it’s on just about every recyclable container you buy and it means that every single bottle and container you throw away is worth something. But, for some reason – they’re still thrown away.

A green business opportunity to work at home and be your own boss

Earn more recycling plastic

Just now, sitting in a coffee shop, I see people throwing glass, plastic, and aluminum drink containers in the trash. They’re throwing things away that are all worth money, and when you think about it these people represent the people we deal with every day. They are the people that go to places like school and work, where they interact with other people just like them – who also might not recycle.
Now, when you consider the drastic amount of 5 and 10 cent recyclables going into the trash everywhere, the amount of money that could be saved begins to seem larger and larger. Just imagine the way businesses waste like this every day.
Grocery stores, restaurants, doctor’s offices, office buildings, and businesses of just about every variety all consist of the same people we see wasting opportunities for savings. All they need is a perspective shift, and they can begin to save money they never knew they were throwing away.

You can be the source of that perspective shift. With the right perspective and training, you can become your own boss and benefit from a work at home business opportunity that helps business save, and lets the environment breath just a little easier.

Waste is Everywhere, and So is Opportunity

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

If you’ve been reading for a while or have only had the chance to check out a few posts, you’ll know that when it all comes down to it – when every word on this blog is condensed into a single sentence – it all boils down to this: trash can be valuable.

We come into contact with products that can be recycled every day, and recycling makes a real impact on the world. But more can be done, and you can profit from recycling just by looking at trash a little bit differently.

Take a look around. What do you see that could be recycled, and what do you see that isn’t being recycled that probably won’t be?  Now that you’ve taken a second to think about all the little things we waste, think about it on a larger scale. Everyone wastes, especially businesses – and with a green work at home business you can help businesses save where they never knew they were wasting.

Think about it this way…. if you can tell a business “You’re throwing away money every day” Chances are, they’ll want to reclaim it.

Let’s be honest, when we throw away something useful, we rarely think about how we’re wasting. Even still, every reusable and recyclable piece of “trash” is money down the drain, where it could instead be money saved for a business, with a percentage of it in your pocket.

That’s how easy it is. With the eye to see waste in business and the training to know how to eliminate it, you can be your own boss and make money while simultaneously making a difference. Remember, waste is everywhere. So why not make your mark with a green business opportunity that actually works?

Oh, and don’t forget to try and reuse that plastic container or bottle you know you’ll probably use today!
