Last week, at the end of February we mentioned that in Finnish the word for the month of March, Maaliskuu, means “the earthy month” because it’s typically the first month of the year where earth can be seen finally peaking through the snow. As you can now see (as long as you haven’t just been hit by a freak storm!), the Fins had it right. There’s a good chance that you can now see a little bit of green through the white stuff that’s been shutting down cities like Washington D.C. for the past month or so.
Even still, snow is something that we’ll always have to worry about. Weather’s just another one of those facts of life that we’ll always have to contend with. Much in the same way, so is trash. We can’t avoid creating trash, and just like snowstorms are capable of shutting down a city, uncontrolled waste can creep up on a business and cause more damage than you thought possible.
Consider how much it costs to dispose of your trash every week. Chances are, that’s a cost that you don’t need to be paying. Chances are, a majority of your trash is recyclable, and chances are – you don’t know the best way to recycle it. Many times, businesses look at recycling as a major time sink with rules and regulations making it hardly worth the time spent figuring it all out. Well, that’s where opportunity lies.
Businesses don’t have time to figure out the recycling industry, they hardly have enough time to get through their regular day-to-day tasks. They don’t have the time needed to learn what the best resources are for saving money with recycling, but you do.
There are millions of dollars waiting to be saved, and all that money is sitting at the bottom of trash cans and dumpsters; it’s all wasting away in office parks, warehouses, and industrial centers. Businesses need to save and most of the time they don’t see the money sinks sitting in their own parking lot.
Why not step in? Make a difference and make a living helping businesses stay on top of one fact of life you didn’t know you could profit from and they didn’t know they could save with. It’s the best home based business you could get involved with. Why wait?
