The Life of a Glass Bottle: A Green Business Opportunity in Motion

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

A little over a year ago, we wrote a post about the “Life of a Plastic Bottle”. In the same spirit, read on to learn about the two paths in life a glass bottle can take, with your help of course.

Recycling glass bottles could be part of a lucrative new business opportunity

1. Glass is created from raw materials: an energy intensive process using sand, lime, and soda is undertaken to provide  glass in many shapes, forms, colors, and consistencies.

2. Glass is filled with product: whatever it may be, the glass is filled with what you need or manufactured to be whatever you need it to be. From a food or drink container to a light bulb and everything in between.

3. Glass fulfills its purpose: is the glass now useless? Soon you will decide.

4. A) Glass is thrown away  or B) Glass is recycled.

Herein lies the decision. Like a kids book where you choose the ending. Choose A) and the story ends, choose B) and it continues – on and on. Let’s assume you chose B

5. Recycled Glass is broken down and crushed: this process created what those in the industry call “cullet” – crushed glass that is ready to be re-melted.

6. Glass is re-melted: recycled glass is re-melted and ready to be used in whatever product it needs to be.

7. Glass is reused: recycled glass is incorporated into many of the same products it began its journey as.

8. And the story continues…

Simply knowing the possibilities recycling provides opens many doors to incredible savings for businesses that might not realize the potential in recycling. Across the country, independent waste consultants have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars consulting businesses so they can save more by recycling. These businessmen and women, taking advantage of a new green business opportunity make a difference while turning to an industry that – so long as there is waste – there will always be opportunity.

Do you see a day where there will no longer be waste?

Celebrate International Beer Day! A Reminder That You Can Earn More With a Green Business Opportunity

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Today is August 5th. Today is Thursday. Today is also international beer day. You can be excited about whichever of those you choose. But

we’re going to talk about international beer day. Not to necessarily promote or support it, but to consider it for its relevance in recycling.

You can earn more recycling aluminum, such as aluminum beer cans

Think of all the aluminum cans that we go through as a society. Especially on today, one day of one month where there might just be a large amount of aluminum cans going to waste (beer or otherwise).  The possibilities in recycling are nearly endless.

Materials such as aluminum are much more valuable than you may think. Recycling aluminum prevents wasted energy and lost money in a number of ways.  From the raw materials to make more cans, straight on down to the gas needed to haul trash that could have been recycled, to the dump.

We’ve said it before, but it’s all about perspective. Take a second to consider all the people throwing away aluminum c

ans today. Somewhere in the world, right now, there is a celebra

ion going on to commemorate “international beer day”. Do you think all of those bottles and cans are getting recycled? It’s likely they are not, and that’s where you can earn more with a green home business opportunity.

Take a look around and notice where there’s waste where there could be gain through recycling. Everywhere, there’s opportunity – you just have to see it. If you’re looking for a business opportunity that works for you and makes a difference, why not give recycling a try?

Spread the green, and spread the wealth.

Earth Day 2010: How Did You Do? Is it Time for a Green Business Opportunity?

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

So just about a week ago Earth Day yet again came and went. We’re wondering, how did you do?  Did you almost throw that plastic bottle away but hold on to it instead with the intention of recycling it?  Pat yourself on the back!  Did you plant a tree? Clean up some trash? Or otherwise make some sort of positive impact on the environment? Great!  Earth Day was a great reminder for people across the world to make more of an impact by making less of an impact – but it can’t stop there.

We think Earth Day is fantastic, but it’s important to remember that there’s much more to accomplish when it comes to helping the environment.  Sure – Earth Day is an excellent opportunity to take some time for one day and do something beneficial for all of us.  Then again, you can do just that and earn money with it at the same time.

Earn money and go green with a green business opportunity

Years ago, we made a point to learn something more about recycling for businesses across the world, and it’s paid off in the end.  We learned that businesses don’t always recycle like they really could and we learned that they can often save thousands every month by recycling better.  Then again, we did the research and they don’t have that kind of time – so that’s where we step in to help.

Across the country, we’ve helped businesses save by showing them how to recycle better, and it cost them liter

ally nothing out of pocket – just part of what they saved with our advice. Ultimately, it’s turned into much more than just a good thing to do on the side.  In fact, it’s exploded into green business opportunity that allows ambitious people across the world make a difference and make a living.

Too often we hear about business opportunities that just don’t cut it, and on the tail end of a miserable recession we can understand everyone’s frustration. But waste is never going away, and the  recycling industry continues to grow, so the opportunities always there, and so is the chance to make a living while you make a difference.

You would be a Fool Not to Use Recycling as a New Green Business Opportunity

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Sure, it’s April. And what does that mean? April fools. Holiday for the mischievous, day of grief for the gullible, and all around interesting day for everyone involved. But I have something interesting for you that you wouldn’t be a fool to take advantage of – recycling.  As part of a green business opportunity, recycling is more profitable than you think.

Capitalize on green business opportunities and earn more green

Without a doubt, recycling is probably one of the most underrated business opportunities out there, because nobody sees or hears about it. With the rate that recycling is growing, there are more opportunities to recycle and increasingly more opportunities to profit. When it comes down to it, there’s much more to trash and recycling than crushed plastic bottles, rotting banana peels, and aluminum cans. There are dollars and cents in there somewhere, you just need to know how to take control of waste and turn it to your advantage.

The business opportunity in recycling comes into play in the very fact that businesses – almost all of them – don’t realize how much money they’re wasting when it comes to business waste. Think about all of the business or industrial parks in town. Every one of them has a dumpster that gets filled up, emptied out, and filled up over and over again. Every time that happens, that business loses money. By hauling business waste away less and recycling more, businesses can save up to thousands of dollars every month – making it foolish not to save with recycling.

So even though it’s April Fool’s day, let me remind you – you are not being fooled. Recycling can be profitable. You just have to know how.

Did you ever think Saint Patrick, Business Waste, and Home Business Opportunities Would Ever Go Hand in Hand?

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

March 17th: the Day Saint Patrick Drove the Snakes from Ireland.  Inspiring!  But did you ever think it would have anything to do with recycling, waste, or starting your own home business.

Ahhh Saint Patrick’s Day! The day where rivers turn green, everyone turns Irish, and college campuses across the world turn upside down.

But what does it all mean?  March 17th is the feast day of Saint Patrick, who is most frequently remembered to be Ireland’s patron saint (even though he wasn’t Irish!). Today, the holiday is predominantly a celebration of Irish heritage and culture, but one of the most retold myths about Saint Patrick says he was responsible for “driving the snakes out of Ireland.”

Well, if Saint Patrick can drive the snakes out of Ireland, driving the waste out of businesses should be easy, shouldn’t it?  Okay okay.  We know the whole snake story isn’t true – but eliminating waste when it comes to business waste management really is an attainable goal. Much more attainable (and much safer) than snake extermination.

Just like families everywhere look at their heritage in a different way on this particular day,   EWS affiliates everywhere earn an amazing living helping businesses across the country save thousands every month – just by looking at waste in a slightly different way and seeing opportunity where before there was only trash.

For example, how do you typically think about a plastic bottle? It’s likely that you think about it as trash and nothing more.  Now multiply that plastic bottle times 100 or even 1000 to account for the sheer amount of plastic some businesses (in just about every industry) go through.  Thought about on a larger scale, it’s particularly dangerous to still view that plastic bottle as nothing more than trash, because it’s much more.  It’s energy, it’s raw material, it is an opportunity waiting to be taken advantage of.  So why write it off as waste?

Most of all, it can be used to make a difference and a profit all at once.  So when you’re taking a closer look at your heritage – why not use it as a reminder to take a closer look at everything, and see what you can do with better business recycling as well.

Going Green’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it (Not Really)

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

When we talk about our role as a provider of a green business opportunity—it often conjures up images of an EWS affiliate slogging through a dumpster in a business suit while sifting through its contents to figure out what waste can, and can’t, be recycled. Honestly—it couldn’t be further from the truth.

In fact, EWS affiliates have had the opportunity over the years to shift their path from jobs they might not want to be doing, to a lucrative green business opportunitythat allows for a number of advantages—such as the ability to set your own hours and be your own boss to the potential to succeed more than ever before and earn the income that you’ve always wanted.

Recycle Better and earn more with EWS

Recycle Better and earn more with EWS

With EWS it’s not that “it’s a dirty job and someone’s got to do it.” Rather, “it’s a better job, and you should really try it.” Over the years, hundreds of EWS affiliates have made the decision to give starting a green business opportunitya shot and strike out on their own. It doesn’t take dumpster diving or trash can picking. All it takes is the knowhow that Environmental Waste Solutions provides and the motivation that potential EWS affiliates never fail to bring to the table.

Every year, we train EWS affiliates and watch them go on to make the contacts, do the work, find success, and make a difference in the process. We often learn that it is people like our affiliates who were the ones who had always wanted to run their own business, but never had the chance. Well, it’s never been easier to take life by the horns. Not everyone chooses to be their own boss, but you can—and it’s not as hard as you think.

Be Your Own Boss, with Green Business Opportunities

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Environmental Waste Solutions has given affiliates across the country the chance to succeed as their

own boss. Every year, we hear them say that working on their own to help businesses go green and save money with better recycling has made a difference in their lives. Here are just a few of the perks that our affiliates seem to love the most.

Set your own hours:
Haven’t you always wanted to work worry free? Wake up when you want to, savor your morning, and take your time getting to work—and by getting to work, we mean leisurely heading to your home office? Well when you’re your own boss, it’s more than possible.

Spend time with your family:
Spending time with family is perhaps one of the biggest reasons our affiliates come to us looking for a reliable solution to being their own boss. With the ability to set your own hours and work at home, taking advantage of a fast paced and successful green business opportunity has become a surefire way to reclaim that quality time for yourself.

Say hello to your hobbies:
Too often, we tend to replace our hobbies and pastimes with jobs and careers that don’t afford us the time to do what we love. Taking control with a work from home business(that actually works) has allowed Environmental Waste Solutions affiliates to take the time they need to enjoy doing the things they love. We only live once—so why spend time regretting not spending the time to enjoy ourselves?

Say goodbye to the office drama:
Working for yourself has its benefits. Time and time again, we hear from our affiliates that one of the greatest benefits is the chance to work free from office drama. Don’t worry about the coworker you don’t get along with or that guy in HR that steals your lunch. Being your own boss gives you the opportunity to make the choice when it comes to who you’re surrounded with every day.

It’s Liberating
If it hasn’t been said already, working for yourself, if anything, is liberating. It’s challenging, it’s exciting, and every accomplishment feels that much greater. With the right motivation and a business plan that can’t fail, all the small perks come together to make life a whole lot easier. So why not give it a shot?

The Weather Outside is Frightful, but Recycling Is so Delightful

Monday, December 28th, 2009

The holiday season is upon us and we wouldn’t be too surprised if you were anticipating a serious cavity in your pocket in the coming weeks. Last year, there was the recession which still hasn’t blown over, and sometimes it just feels like the holidays bring all the stress and none of the joy. If there’s snow on the ground and you don’t feel like shoveling, and the prospect of one more family party makes you weary—you can rest assured that some things remain certain. One of those things is waste.

Even though the economy, our families, and our jobs can give us a hard time, it doesn’t mean that we have to let them keep us down. It’s important to remember that we’re always in control, and with the opportunity to make money by helping business recycle—the prospects have never been better, because when do businesses stop producing waste? Never.

By taking full advantage of business recycling, potential EWS affiliates can finally work around the obstacles and stresses that seem to always stand out when it comes down to the holidays. When things are good, you’re in control, and you have a plan— high prices, stressful jobs, and the little things that bother us can quickly and easily be cast aside. But you have to want it, and Environmental Waste Solutionsprovides an answer.

That solution is something that everyone wants. More and more businesses want to, and are encouraged to ,go green, and it goes without saying that they always need to save money. All in all, better recycling makes everything easier. Easier for you, easier for businesses that need to save, and beneficial for all involved—and easy is always nice when it comes to the stressful holiday season. Why do you think online shopping is so popular?

So how do you plan to make things easier this holiday season?

Make a Difference with Business Recycling

Friday, December 25th, 2009

So fall is gone and Thanksgiving has passed. At Environmental Waste Solutions
, we have a lot to be thankful for—and we’ve said it all before. We’re thankful that we’ve had the chance to help businesses and affiliates make a difference by going green. We’re also thankful for the opportunity to provide the solution that has allowed so many EWS affiliates to step out from under the shadow of jobs they don’t like, bosses they can’t stand, and careers that don’t leave them fulfilled.

better recycling can mean a green business opportunity

better recycling can mean a green business opportunity

With Thanksgiving gone, you undoubtedly had your opportunity to “recycle” plenty of leftover food, and it works in virtually the same way for all kinds of green businessess
across the country.

You know how it works. You made the food, and making the food left you with some waste before you could use it. That waste can actually be used in a number of ways. Maybe it can be repurposed or maybe you can compost it—but the trashcan is not the end of the line.
In the same way, businesses experience much of the same.

A business makes the products you use and making the products left the business with some waste. In the same way you found a good way to dispose of all those boxes of food, businesses can find better ways to handle the waste they’re left with after they have their product–becoming ggreen businessess

Wait….you did recycle those cardboard boxes didn’t you? Well if you didn’t there’s a way—and that’s the point we’re trying to get across. Recycling can be easy for businesses and EWS affiliates can earn money by helping them save money and go green.

Business Recycling: It’s Easier than Shoveling Snow, much easier

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

When all the raking is done, the leaves are off the lawn and the trees are as bare as skeletons standing in the yard, the thought always seems to dawn that it won’t be long before snow falls and covers it all anyways. Sure, everyone wishes for a white Christmas, but the soggy stuff that delivers a beautiful snowy morning can tend to get annoying. You shovel it, you plow it, you snow blow it, but it always seems to find a way to accumulate while you’re left holding the shovel wondering how much longer it will all last.

This time of year, when you think about the seemingly nonstop snowfall and the unfortunate necessity to somehow clean it up, you can also think about waste management and recycling. Similar to fruitlessly shoveling snow, businesses across the country find themselves dealing with the rising cost of waste management and the sad truth that in too many cases, those costs are ones they can’t avoid—but keep having to pay for, over and over.

Well, it doesn’t have to be all bad. Don’t forget that there’s a positive side to snow as well. You can ski on it, you can turn it into a snowball, and much more. It’s got its upsides—and so does business waste. Business waste presents a a green business opportunity

Businesses in just about every industry have the opportunity to turn their waste around, from something that’s a nuisance into something that’s positive, and
Environmental Waste Solutionsaffiliates can help. By taking full advantage of waste and recycling businesses have the opportunity to not only save money but go green at the same time.

So, next time you’re shoveling snow, think about the fact that almost everything has some sort of positive side, and waste is no different. Why not take advantage when you can?
